How Easy It Is To Forget

A year ago, I was on my ninth day of blogging.  No mention of what day it was.  I was concentrating on that pathetic worm Dan Rather.   I managed two decent posts, and one good one, but none of them were about the most import public event of my lifetime since the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Learn from that: it's easy and human to focus on the recent and the short term, and ignore what truly matters.

THE HOUSE OF SAUD MUST BE DESTROYED — AND WILL BE!

  • I think part of it could be summed up in Conchy's "Why Worry About Tomorrow If You Can't Make It Through Today?". Stomping on Rather was a part of making sure we had a sane President with more than one working braincell.

For that matter the "editing as lying" process is something that'll probably be with us long after the last of the jihadis has been given their 6 feet of land (Plus as much more as they're taller of course!) so it is something that'll still be important in the long term. Sad but true.

BTW, congratulations on your 1st blog Aniversary. Hope you have a hundred more! ^_~
