Interesting Thought From Chuck Simmins

        I'm not at all certain she is "unqualified" because I'm not clear on what ought to be the qualifications.  For the last couple of decades we've focused on judicial appointments having a record. Was that always the way?  No.  The Senate's advice and consent only became a problem recently.

        I can see Bush appointing people he knows well, to avoid the surprises of his father's appointments and Reagan's appointments.  Recommendations don't beat first hand knowledge for Bush, I think.  Call it cronyism but it is the very best method of putting into office people you trust to act as you believe they should.  That's why Bobby Kennedy was AG, because Jack could trust him.

        After the way O'Connor and others worked out, I'm inclined to give personal knowledge and judgment a try.

THE HOUSE OF SAUD MUST BE DESTROYED — AND WILL BE!
