That's Gotta Smart

        In this post, I noted the way the New York Times distorted a GI's posthumous letter to his girlfriend.

        Lots of other people noticed too.  So much so that the public editor's assisstant had to put together a form letter to use in replying.  And people are still making a fuss, especially the tenacious Michelle Malkin.

        As my online acquaintence Tom Kratman said in a letter to the Times he posted on Baen's Bar:
        How long does the Times expect to remain the newspaper of record when it persists in trying to be the newspaper of half records?

        How long will the Times persist in acting as if it still had a monopoly on the news?  As if it cannot be checked?

        "All the news that fits," right?

        Indeed, as the big guy says.
