It's Amazing . . .

. . . how widespread cowardice and stupidity have become.  The MSM in the U.S. won't show the Danish Muhammed cartoons, out of "respect for Islam."  The U.S. State Dept. has criticized them. The Vatican has come down on them.

And none of this will help the MSM, the State Dept., or the Vatican deal with Islamofascism.  Appeasing totalitarians never works — but denying unpleasant realities is something some people never get over.

  • As Muslims we are required to respect all religions, be it people who are Christians, Jewish, Hindu e.tc.

So i’m really surprised at the pictures published in the newspaper, and also of their false nature. Maybe people should read about Prophet Muhumad peace be upon him, and realise that he was a mercy to all mankind.

Attacking the prophet peace be upon him by drawing such pictures is attacking Muslims directly.

We dont draw pictures of other prophets like Abraham, Moses, Jesus, infact we respect them, and would never think to do such drawings.

  •         As a matter of fact, almost everything in the first comment is provably false.

"As Muslims we are required to respect all religions, be it people who are Christians, Jewish, Hindu etc."

Untrue.  Jews are referred to every Friday as "pigs and dogs" in Muslim services, Muslims are exhorted to attack Irsael, Muslims in Pakistan attack Indian Hindus.  Christians visit Saudi Arabia, and customs seizes their bibles, while Chrisitian churches and services aren't permitted anywhere in "the Kingdom." Some respect.

"So i’m really surprised at the pictures published in the newspaper, and also of their false nature.  Maybe people should read about Prophet Muhumad, peace be upon him, and realise that he was a mercy to all mankind."

A depiction of the Prophet Muhamed as a terrorist is "false" in nature?  Every day, Muslim clerics and imams call on people to commit acts of terrorism in the name of Islam.  If the cartoons are "false," then the clerics and imams are heretics, and a much bigger threat to Islam than a dozen silly cartoons.

"Attacking the prophet, peace be upon him, by drawing such pictures is attacking Muslims directly."

No, killing people is attacking them directly.  What the Danish cartoonists did was exercise freedom of the press, something that happens all the time in the Western world.  Get used to it, before you learn the difference by being actually attacked.

"We don't draw pictures of other prophets like Abraham, Moses, Jesus, in fact we respect them, and would never think to do such drawings."

As a very important columnin the Daily Telegraph says, there are numerous Muslim paintings from Turkey, Persia, Arabia and so on, depicting the Prophet preaching, having visions, being fed by his wet nurse, going on his Night-Journey to heaven, etc.

There's an old joke that a hick visited the big city, went to the zoo, looked at a giraffe, and shook his head, saying "There ain't no such animal."  Muslims, alas, do that with most of reality.  What a pity.
