Yeh Steve, probably is (hoaxing aside). Glacomo is the main cause of blindness, but there are others. Restricted blood supply to the optic nerves is one. But mostly they can't tell about optic or even auditory nerve damage, any more than they can 'operate' on those nerves (yet). Let's hope the recovery lasts, since all else is guesswork.Gerry
